About
Born in the Midwest and became an underwater welder in the oilfield off the coast of Louisiana. That is where I was first introduced to metal working, control of a molten pool of metal and the dynamics of water. Moved to Chicago years later and happened to meet a glass blower. One lesson, had me hooked. Glass seemed to have the properties of metal and water. I was fascinated with turning separate solids into liquids with a gas combining them into one seamless object. This today, still fascinates and motivates me in my current pieces.
I Find myself somewhere between a welder/fabricator and an artist. Everything I make works for something. So, I ll just say I m a functional artist.
Thanks to the people and musicians who have inspired me and always will. I would like to also say thanks to everyone who visits my website and takes interest in my work. Always look for the artist within.
